Beaver Creek Lodge

We had a spectacular week slowly making our way from Philadelphia to Denver, meandering along the Old Lincoln Highway, seeing places like the John Deere Pavillion, the Amana Colony, the Winnebago Factory, the Great Platte River Road Monument, Car Henge, and Chimney Rock. And then we reached our first firm destination/date of the trip.

Our plans led us to the ski resort village of Beaver Creek, Colorado for a music intensive the kids attend for a week every summer, the Colorado Suzuki Institute. It is a major change of scenery and pace from the motorhome road trip, but a wonderful experience nonetheless. In fact, our first order of business was to pull the RV into the loading dock of the lovely and swanky Beaver Creek Lodge, our favorite place to stay. They were incredibly friendly and did not seem at all surprised by the family pulling up with all of our camping gear to unload .

Out came our clothes, our fridge contents, and our Legos, not to mention two classical guitars and associated paraphernalia. The Beaver Creek Resort kindly directed us to a lot where we could park the motorhome for a week. Alas, we had to check the dog into an equally lovely nearby pet resort. Finally, the Beaver Creek Lodge parked our Acura laden with bikes and kayaks right out front all week long because it did not fit in their garage.

  1. Hi friends,

Beaver Creek Lodge, the location is great with the ski slopes only a two minute walk. The rooms are all suites with the main room consisting of a bathroom, pullout couch. Thanks for sharing it.....
